“Here’s How To Get Rock Bottom Wholesale Prices
On Brand New, Brand Name
Scratch and Dent Appliances in Edmonton”
If you’re looking to save hundreds of dollars on your next purchase of 1, 2 or a whole household package of appliances… then you’ve come to the right place.
Did you know that scratch and dent appliances are not all the same?
Yes it’s true.
There is a closely guarded secret in the appliances industry of grading scratch and dent appliances that 99% of the general public are kept completely in the dark about… and some appliance dealers what to keep it that way.
Appliance manufacturers have an actual grading system for the quality of appliances that are sold to appliance dealers. It ranges from Grade A to Grade… well you might not want to know how bad it gets.
Let me show you exactly how this works:
When an appliance dealer buys a truckload of brand new crated appliances… this is considered an…
When an appliance dealer buys a truckload of Scratch and Dent appliances… this category of scratch and dent appliance has no major visible damage to the front of the appliance and the appliance still carries it’s full original manufacturer’s warranty, this is called a…
When an appliance dealer buys a load of Scratch and Dent appliances that has “major visible damage” and carries NO manufacturers warranty whatsoever, this is called a…
We have a nickname for “C Lot” appliances in the industry… they are called CRAP.
And finally, when an appliance dealer buys a load of Scratch and Dent appliances that have been… well basically dropped off the tailgate of the delivery truck and once again has no manufacturer’s warranty, these appliances are called…
The industry also has a nickname for “D Lot” appliances… and they are called “Dump”, as in, that is the exact location where they should be delivered to in the first place. Trust me on this, but you don’t ever want to be stuck with a “D Lot” appliance in your home.
So I’m going to let you in on a couple of dirty little secrets that will help you avoid getting stuck with some of these undesirable appliances… and I’ll reveal to you how you can find the real gems… and save yourself a pile of money to boot.
D lot also stands for another nickname… and that is “Dropped”, because that is exactly what has happened to most of these appliances… they were dropped by the forklift that was transferring them to a semi trailer or the appliances where “accidently” dropped from the end of a truck.
Now here’s the kicker… these D Lot appliances are sold to NON Factory Authorized appliance dealers. These outfits typically will take the parts off of 4 appliances and put them together to make a somewhat “salable” appliance to some unsuspecting customer that thinks he is getting a great deal.
But here’s the problem.
When an appliance gets dropped, you can’t just repair the outer damage and then resell it.
Practically all appliances nowadays have some sort of electronics in them. These electronics have delicate circuit boards, diodes, resistors and what not.
You see all these components have internal connection points that get damaged when they are struck with a blow (dropped off a truck.)
And the result?
The connecting solder joints on all these delicate electronics suffer hair line fractures and when the appliance is constantly turned on and off from everyday normal operation these connections start to break down.
But here’s the real kicker, this deterioration of the soldered joints doesn’t happen right away, in fact we see this premature failure rate by the 2nd or 3rd year of the life of the appliance…
So how do we know this? Well, we have our own service department and we keep track of the most common repair problems of appliances.
And naturally this happens right after your warranty coverage has expired.
Now, here’s another shocking fact…
Speaking of warranty coverage, did you know that C Lot and D Lot scratch and dent appliances are not sold to “Manufacturer Approved Warranty Depot” appliance stores?
That’s right, so what does this mean to you?
Well the warranty you get is only as good as the company standing behind it… For example, if you bought a washer from a generic company like XYZ Appliances, that 1 year warranty that they give you is optional for them to honor.
Optional??? Yes, it’s true.
But, if you buy an appliance from a “Factory Authorized Warranty Depot”, not only is that company obligated to honor all manufactures warranty but if for some reason it cannot fulfill these responsibilities to you, another factory authorized servicer will take their place and perform the manufacturer’s warranty on your appliance.
So come on down to Appliances Unlimited and shop in confidence. Get yourself some quality scratch and dent appliances in Edmonton that the original manufacturer extends their full manufacturer warranty.
